We are super proud to have someone of the calibre of Khalil Rehman join our Mentoring and Advisory Team. He has an impressive work history and experience which he is willing to share with others. He has previously guided and mentored young architects and has a keen interest in helping others.
His short biography is mentioned below.
Khalil is founder and director of UR Architects Design Studio; he is a fully qualified Architect and experienced Project Manager.
He leads an inhouse team of architects, architectural assistants and technicians with extensive experience of delivering high quality buildings that match the client ambitions.
Khalil spent the first 15 years of his professional career working in a variety of practices, including Glenn Howells Architects studio in Birmingham and London, leading and successfully establishing the student and retirement housing sector for the business before moving client side in 2014, joining PegasusLife as Design Manager where he was involved in establishing the design intelligence for several award-winning projects leading internal and external architects / designers. He has also been involved in developing strategic design briefs, networking, establishing BIM strategies, preparing site feasibility studies and leading technical design reviews. This involved building and managing an extensive network of external partners and advising internal stakeholders of development, commercial, sales and after sales across several developments.
ARCHITECTURE
Khalil started his career in Birmingham in 2000 as an architect with Armstrong Burton Architects (now part of Pegasus Group) and having gained valuable experience delivering buildings across the North and Midlands made the move to Glenn Howells Architects to further improve and test his design, technical and management abilities.
Khalil at Glenn Howells lead a team on high-end homes and residential developments divisions, which included student housing, later living and specialist house builder clients. He gained significant experience managing the practices most valuable contracts and high-net worth clients whilst collaborating and leading some of the foremost consultants in the UK.
His portfolio at Glenn Howells Architects includes Student Accommodation (Kings Cross Central Argent / Urbanest) and residential developments for Barratts East London (Canada Water) projects.
PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT
In 2014, Khalil moved to PegasusLife where he was able to realise one of his passions to work client side and work on projects from source.
Being employed by a specialist development company allowed Khalil to influence the outcome of the project across its lifespan working alongside land, development, commercial, sales and after sales team to formulate the project’s brief and set the design parameters early. He managed the design and technical construction process delivering buildings with GDV ranging from £6.5m up to £40m.

Khalil decided to use his experience to focus on URBAN REGEN and the company has expanded to offer complete design and project management services.
