One of the main issues that has been highlighted from various major researches and PhD programs is the lack of positive role models within the BAME (Black and Minority Ethnic) communities, which has lead to high level of crime, drugs and knife crime within those regions.
Another factor has been lack of education and job opportunities which also has been a contributing factor.
Due to these reasons, we began the Youth Mentoring Program. We approached leading business people from the BAME community, educators, religious leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs and asked them to be part of our Mentoring Program.
These mentors would guide and give talks on their careers and how education and hard work has enabled them to be successful.
Due to these programs we have inspired many a youth to walk away from drugs and crime, go in to education to gain degrees and then go on to have successful careers and professional vocations.
The Mentoring Program has catered for the youth, male and females, regardless of age, gender, religious beliefs, community backgrounds etc. We are proud to have made a positive difference within the heart of our communities.
